Favorite Geek Podcasts

With the amount of travel I’ve been doing this year, I started to embrace listening to podcasts. As a lover of all things geek, I naturally went immediately to podcasts of that nature, and what I’ve found has been great. I’ve loved the podcasts that I have discovered, and I wanted to share some of those with all of you. Here are some of my favorites in no particular order.

The Shared Desk
TSD-back2backThis podcast is the brainchild of authors Tee Morris and Pip Ballantine, creators of the Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences. Stacia and I have been guests of this podcast a couple of times and always have fun with these two talented authors. Check out the links to a couple of our episodes HERE or HERE. Also, Stacia and I have a book release on June 17th (check out this link for the pre-order), and so do Tee and Pip. Check out more info on “The Ghost Rebellion” HERE. The couple do a monthly “Lootcrate Lookie-Loo” segment where they open their Lootcrate while recording. Always good for a laugh.

Geektitude
geektitudeThe word geektitude is a combination of the words “geek” and “aptitude.” But host Joe Hogan thinks he can make it more than that. Your geektitude is your self measure of what makes you a geek.  No matter what your fandom, interest or activity is, your geektitude is what makes you unique in the growing world of geekdom. BUT with great geektitude comes great responsibility. The geektitude community is often one of bitterness, exclusion and strife, which sucks, because we are a community built around similar interests and creative endeavors! Joe is a super positive guy who fills his podcast with tons of interesting guests.

Average Geek Show
awesomeaction_logo_prelim_croppedBrian and Phillipe host this podcast that covers a broad range of geek topics. These guys are passionate about all geek fandoms. Some of their shows are movie reviews. Some are about sci-fi on TV, movies and comics. Some are just about science news. They’re wildly entertaining and occasionally inappropriate, but they are super dedicated to their inner geeks and all the geeks who listen.

Wekk Podcast

Wekk podcast features three girls and a guy discussing all things geek. Several of the episodes are dedicated to Doctor Who, or growing up in the 1970’s. Like all good geek podcasts, they debate the Marvel vs DC argument from time to time. These four are really funny together, and totally in their element debating all things geek.

What’s your favorite geek podcast? Anything you listen to that you want to share?

All the best,

nK
